Prince retail release December 11th

i know its not a tuesday but i work at a major retail chain and thats when its listed. its listed under NPG records for 59.99 list price and Street Date of Wednesday December 11th. It kind of makes sense since it doesnt get mixed with other releases from Tuesday, plus he plays LENO on the 15th, so even if he can move about 50,000 units of this at retail he is making a major dollar amount for himself.

I hope that happens...it would be nice for Prince and for the ones who get
this excellent music in a boxed set.
So...how's everybody doing? smile

$60.00 * 50,000 = $3,000,000.00

Even if we were to assume the production of the ONA live set cost absolutely squat, Tickets for ONA were about $100.00 * approx 5,000/show.

Assuming his tour cost absolutely nothing, 6 shows would make the same amount as this CD release, keeping in mind your estimates of 50,000 units moved.

wow. I just realised, Prince is rich. damn rich.

yeah.. he has made allot since 1996

just off Emancipation & Crystal Ball Prince made $24 Million and some change! (he said that was more then he made in 20 years at warner bros , then in that one year and a half or so..)

Prince's fan base is around 120,000 people..lets just say a little less then half buy the ONA and he will make probably $37-41 per every $50 sale..(sounds allot better then for a single CD.. the musican gets 56 cents to maybe $1.20 if their lucky)

he is doing pretty good... not including the Tour! I don't think he played all 5,000 seat places.. but still nice chunk a change huh..

It is really right NOW pretty hard Prince NOT to make $800,000-$1.2 Million on any single CD he puts out..his cut..almost every move grosses him close to atleats $1 Million..( Prince getting $10,11 or 12 dollars his cut on a $15 Dollar CD sold at your local store) * WE personally can get at Diskmakers 1000 CDs pressed for $1.30 per.. (now think about pressing 70,000 plus! the cost would be very low)

*if you notice every star who gets dropped from their label.. or leaves,ect.. ALWAYS calls Prince within months to ask "HOW TO".. wink smile
