who's watching letterman? Prince tribute band

prince tribute band - Purple Reign played "Let's Go Crazy". lol

First time I've seen them. Pretty good actually. The guy did the splits but he made for a funny Prince.

Kinda weird. The real Prince was last on letterman in what 94-95. How does a tribute band get on national TV?

Just did a little research. See that it aired 11-17-2008. So a repeat. I will bet a million dollars this has been discussed ad nausem. My Apologies

Happy New Year razz

Tribute bands are awesome :p I'm gonna' have one play at my wedding. Only Prince music - that's it.
I wanna be loved to the 9s, so let me cover your ass with this sheet, and baby, you better stay on the beat! Cause you know the Karma Sutra? I can rewrite it. But, with half as many words.

I couldn't agree more. Plus, having a tribute band is a sign that an artist or group has a huge following that is serious about the music. Look at who has tribute bands; Prince, Grateful Dead, Phish, DMB. Say what you want about these groups, but they have millions of fans who have loved the music throughout the years. You won't find many tribute bands for groups like Blink-182 or the like (Don't ask why I picked them; they worked for the example). Groups like that are basically flavors of the month when they come out with a hit and nobody cares about them after the song is off the top 40.
