But i am angry >:0 at what u said bout SlipKnot, and i get the feelin, all dat replied 2 this topic, feel the same way 2. Thus, the most common reason is, cuz the way they look and/or there attitude. I have seen them live, and love them, they unite masculinity, strength and elevate peoples feelings inside. There music is ground brakin, cuz they have fused 2gether heavy-metal and mixin/samplin. No 1 has done this at this level. Also, Kerrang (best metal mag. in the world) regard SlipKnot at the highest level, 4 there crazy, darein and edgey shows.

But i still agree, it would be interestin and cool, if Prince did a metal album. A famous critic said he doesn't understand y spectators, seem 2 think he is similar 2 Hendrix, cuz his gutiar is more funk soundin, he said Prince is more like Santana, so my point is, Prince would probably have 2 go back 2 the black-board (start again, 2 get a style) if he wann 2 make good metal.

Marylin Manson - Once again, he is more than just metal. Theres a little bit of funk in his stuff too. Look at Marylin Manson wiggling around on stage and compare it to Prince doing Darling Nikki at the 1985 televised concert. There's alot of similarities in the style and sound. NIN, Prince, M Manson. they all kind of dig eachother and I can see their sounds overlapping. Prince did a NINesque take off of Eraser with Had U. Trent mentions Prince in the liner notes of Pretty Hate Machine. Then theres those supposed Prince mixes of Head Like a Hold (i dont know if Prince really mixed those, theyre just labeled that way on the mp3s).

i don't hate slipknot because of they way they look or they're attitudes... i hate them because i think they make shitty music... i like all kinds of bands/artists with shitty attitudes and ridiculous looks... but i don't like bands/artists that i think make shitty music... furthermore, i don't hear anything groundbreaking about their music in the least...

Here is a Big Observation now Prince said he grew up listening to Grand Funk. So how come he has Never performed American Band in Concert or I'm sure he liked Deep Purple or Arosmith or Floyd right? He said he was Heavily Rock influenced. I'm sure he liked Breaking The Law by Priest No? Well, if Minneapolis music was really into this Metal back then right?
