It sounds a bit cynical but if you were really keen on meeting Prince would any of you pretend to be a JW if you knew you could attend discussion groups at Prince's local kingdom hall?
Btw, I'm not planning on doing this - just curious.

I'm not gonna pretend to be wat I'm not just to meet Prince but knowin that he's always open for religious/spiritual discussion and me being of his former religion, I would go and try have a talk wit him on religion. Would be a nice way to meet him.

Nope. I'd only pretend to be a JW if it turned out that at the end of my time they happened to be right. Although their Hell is non-existence as I understand it. Not so bad really. Better than being an infidel in the Islamic faith I reckon.

Would people be more upset if Prince had chosen another religion? Scientology for instance (is it a religion or just a cult?). I don't think I could afford to join that one just to meet Prince. Then again I spent nearly a grand going to see Purple Rain in Dublin... hmmm.

No, I think if you're gonna pretend to be someone you're not, take up acting. Or join Second Life. And then you can pretend to be a girl and dress sexy. Well, by sexy I mean like a slut or a harem chick. Just don't turn on the voice thingy 'cause then everyone will know you're a boy. When I visited Mpls, I went so far as to look up Kingdom Halls in Chanhassen. A lot of soul/gospel/R&B singers sing or play music in their churches and I wondered if he did the same. I don't think you'd have to outright lie about being JW. You could just say you were interested. Who isn't interested in why Prince is JW?

There is no reason 2 lie about how U feel about your own relationship with GOD...If U want 2 go to a JW Church, they will let U in without claiming to be a JW...I know this cuz' they always invite me..but if I don't go, they will come 2 me...I like having church at my house.
