Album had a few good songs, but the "npg" flavored songs make it almost unbearable to hear all the way through

Mad Sex
Come On
Until You're in my arm
The One
Wasted Kisses

that is it

One reason I like the album so much is that I think Prince finally got it right. I think this was what he wanted the NPG to be but apparently wasn't without him.
Knowing Prince he probably scratched the last NPG project and just did New Power Soul. I think it's his best and purest R & B album. Obviously I think he hit a home run with it.
I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

Never liked Come On, it sounds so boring to me. Even tried listening to it again just now and it does nothing for me. Just seems so bland. confused

You need to crank the bass up on the track and turn the lights down low..it a moody dirty groove and have yourself facing the windows...play at night

once you done that you'll love the track cool

Nope, still nothing. smile

Five good songs is quite an impressive tally on any Prince album since 1989.

There's actually very little that I don't like, love everything else on Sign O The Times. Although, most of Dirty Mind is lost on me as are a few tracks on 1999. But hey, isn't that the beauty of Prince? For each track we don't like there's a dozen we love.

There is one thing I love about Housequake though, it has my all time favourite misheard lyric. One time it was playing and as Prince asks, "Tell me, who in this house know about the Quake?" My ex was sitting there looking puzzled, then turned to me and asked, "Who's Bert De Quake?" lol lol lol lol
