I feel bad 4 Prince. I mean it looks as though his latest albums will all fail miserably because he has created a false reality 4 himself.main reasons as follows:


1. He has pissed off the gay community with his recent comments about gay marriage (come on prince who do u think got u started when u was parading around in heels and makeup?)

2. The lotus flower album will bomb because if Clemson and clover is the best on it rockers won’t take him seriously and he just doesn’t write great guitar riffs anymore (rocker on iTunes: hmm…..should I buy the latest AC/DC album or Prince?)

3. MPLSOUND experimenting with PROTOOLS? Memo to Prince: protools has been out damn near 20 years and u just experimenting now? What sound u going to come up with that Dr Dre, Rick Rubin, and the Neptune’s haven’t done already? Black folks don’t want no experimental pop! We wanna grind and bob our heads!

4. Female protégé chick album will tank: now of all the new stuff I have heard her song sounds the most promising but it will fail because she is connected to PRINCE! If he was smart he would have done the alias thing like Jamie Starr or something so her album could have a chance but once they hear PRINCE had something to do with it people will think it sucks. She must be the dumbest because if I was her I would be thinking about how he used and abused Tamar then kicked her to the curb with no money.

What can he do to avoid the impossible predicament he is in?

I love how you thought it was worthy enough to create a new thread instead of just posting it in the sticky one.

Of course they arent doomed to fail , if they are bad or even worse than bad -mediocre then they will . But knowing Prince there will be at least 1 or 2 killer tracks on each album

How is it a failure when we have new music? I have said this for a good 15 years now - IF YOU DONT LIKE This "current album".. Prince will have a new one in year or so.

If you are still thinking about "charts" in this day and age for a 50+ year old man and letting that determine what is good and not good, you seriously just need to not listen to music at all. 4. i dont really care for any protege Prince might have except for Tamar. she had some promise. i wish he was more adventurous in his dealings with other bands and artists. either way i hope the Bria thing works out for her and him but I wont be rushing to get it until i hear more from it.
