Does The Song "Come Back" Make You Cry? It does me. I can't listen to that song without crying. Such a sad, tender and heartfelt song. I think he wrote it when the baby died, but then again, I don't know that as a fact. Just a speculation on my part. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

This one and Until U're In My Arms Again are really sad "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

No but it's a very sad song, along with "Until U're In My Arms Again". That one makes me more sad than "Comeback". I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

OH MY GOD, yes! Comeback doesn't do anything for me. It's pretty standard Prince sappy faire, but damn if "Goodbye" doesn't kill me. "I could manage a week or two without those kisses, it'd be hard, but something tells me I could try.
For that matter, whatever to make you reconsider. Is there truth when you make to a lie? Excuse me, but is this really good bye?" The portions about him thinking of how it could be, should be, but probably won't be is extremely personal. Something everyone's felt and dealt with. [Edited 12/30/08 15:39pm] I wanna be loved to the 9s, so let me cover your ass with this sheet, and baby, you better stay on the beat! Cause you know the Karma Sutra? I can rewrite it. But, with half as many words.

I haven't heard this one, so I can't say,but ther are ones that do make me cry. Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life. ~Berthold Auerbach

the only song i remember that ALMOST made me cry was 8 (from the first madhouse album of the same name). i got choked up one time after that as well. i had never heard something so beautiful . with the flute and the "huh, huh huh", just... . amazing song . as for comeback, really nice song as well. reminds me of the outtake from the late 70s, i miss you. very similar, imo . both short and sweet . the hook, "they'll come back, yeah yeah" and "tears go here..." . yes, very nice indeed. i haven't listened to the truth in ages. must do so life's a bitch, but god forbid the bitch divorce me...

It's happened 2 me with this song.

fantastically beautiful vocal, along with "Goodbye" my favourite song from Crystal Ball/Truth

Both these songs give me emotional moments, mostly because Prince's emotion can really be heard.

Actually it has, and does nearly every time I listen 2 it.
It's not easy having your moon in Pisces... makes it 2 easy 2 feel others' pain... and joy... etc. "He's a musician's musician..."

Just 2 cheer U guys up...don't forget about..."Hello, Hello, Hello, Hello, Hello." That should be the b-side 4 "goodbye." "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

Comeback does get me this way.
Another song, despite me not having a religious nature in any way, is Last December. The line "Did you ever love somebody and get no love in return? Did you understand the true meaning of love, how it just is and never yearns?" inspired a blog from me in actual fact. So look into the mirror, do u recognise some1? Is it who u always hoped u would become, when u were young?

Can't comment on the songs mentioned but whenever I hear " I hear your voice" I am in a puddle of sadness.

I forgot about "Goodbye" That's made me sad. The only Prince songs I've wept to are "Purple Rain", "Sometimes It Snows In April" and "I Can't Love U Anymore". I felt the pain of "I Can't Love U Anymore". It was one of the few Prince songs were I felt like I could totally relate to what he was saying and as a result, a tear came down my face. It's a deep song. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that
