Yes, that is definately a difficult one!
I love the sound of Controversy because I think he is being extremely creative with a very limited amount of instruments. I mean, I don't know what he's using there but sounds very interesting and the mark of a true musical genius to be able to create such great songs with so little. Also the pulsating drum beat on Dirty Mind gets me everytime. Again simple and not complex but sheer genius and gets right to the heart of the song. The keyboard instrumental on Head is again genius in my mind. It whizzes and whirls all over the place. It is amazing. I also love Sign of the Times for it's sparse, minimalistic sound yet it still mangages to be poppy at the same time. If I Was Your Girlfriend always sounds slightly weird but in a good way. Again very minimal but it really complements the lyric and Princes vocals. And finally I love the beginning chords of The Cross. One of the most under-rated of all of Princes arrangements. I love it! Shut up already, damn.

I guess I'll throw "Play in the Sunshine," in here because I think it qualifies as a well arranged song...although when UR not a musician, and I am not...I may be lacking in the overall comprehension of an arrangement. If U like all of the songs...I wouldn't know how 2 put them in a line based on arrangement. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

It's hard to pick P's best ARRANGEMENTS. There's so many. I think from "Purple Rain" straight thru to "S.O.T.T", his arrangement game progressed w/ excellence. You could hear on every LP a progressive upgrade change and something different that you didn't hear on the last LP before.
Also I think a lot of credit should go to Wendy, Lisa, Dr. Fink, and Claire Fisher. They were a huge part of P's sound during those times and they really should get more credit for it. Because we all know sometimes P never gave props to his co-writers.
