As for Prince being a Witness. I'm sort of Agnostic, but it doesn't bother me because Prince has put prayers, bible verses, and religious imagery since Controversy. He's provided far more than he had to for us over the years, not only in quantity but in quality. The whole "We made you and we'll break you" attitude is exactly what Prince doesn't want from his fans. Prince's "real" fans are just music lovers, are they not? If you expect someone to provide something for you just to satisfy you whims, is that truly the definition of a fan? I sincerely hope not..... Yup...Feeling you! I am a REAL fan, have been for a VERY long time. So, people are getting in a tizzy because our purple man is finding and studying his "spiritual" side...Well, if that upsets you, then go away. How many new listeners are there of an artist that's 50 fucking years old??? He could make Purple Rain part 2, Reunite the Revolution, an Release EVERYTHING from the vault, and there STILL wouldn't be as many "new listeners". When I was a teenager, I wasn't trying to listen to what my parents listened to!!! I bet when you were a teenager listening to Prince, you weren't thumbing through your parents Temptations records!!! Prince is at the age where people aren't buying his albums like they used to. So he's kind of making music for himself. He still has a large fanbase, so whatever he puts out is gonna make money. Plus people come out to his concerts in droves. That's why he loads the show with the "hits".
