I just got off the phone with Grandmixer DXT, who is in charge of a recorded tribute 2 Jam Master Jay that he's about 2 embark on.

He wants Prince involved, and asked me 2 try 2 get the message 2 Prince, which I will do here, before my other paths 2 him.

I'm down with the whole original Zulu Nation hip-hop crew... Grandmixer DXT is known most 4 his scratches on Herbie Hancock's "Rockit".

Now he does a lot of digital remastering... he did the recently discovered John Coltrane/Thelonius Monk live recording... previously unheard, and stashed in the national archives.

I connected DXT with someone who works with Prince, who is also a close friend, and he will tell DXT how 2 "propose" it 2 Prince.

He did say that Prince is extremely busy, which came 2 no surprise.
