What's the longest stretch you've gone without listening to any Pricne music? Only days, hours, weeks months years? Since I first discovered the purple pusher of phunk, for me it's been at the most a few months, and then only a couple times. It tends to center me or juice me up, plays a big role in my life over the last 27 years. Can't belive it's been that many years. Strange.

Prince plays in my heart all of the time, whether or not I'm simultaneously listening 2 the radio.

a day or two, maybe . i'll be sick of his voice by the end of one night and wake up wanting to hear some more . i guess the associated artists count too, huh?

I go thru phases...lots and lots of Prince music all the time


especially when there is anew album....

Then I pick my fav songs and try to feel the music and what he is trying to say


then I have to take a break and revisit them when I have a song that calls me

Never more than a week.

I have mentioned this on another post. There was a period of my life, from 20-21 (2000-2001 into early 2002), when I had sort of abandoned most of the things that were part of my life up to that point. Prince music was one of the things that I moved away from. I did not go the whole two years without listening to Prince, but I bet I went through stretches of at least 3 or 4 months without listening to Prince.
In March of 02, my friend called me and asked if I wanted to go to the One Night Alone show in Cleveland. I went, and I haven't went a week without listening to Prince since.

honestly, maybe 4 or 5 days max.

I'll often go a couple of weeks Prince Free.

WEll from the first time I heard prince I pretty much played him none stop for weeks then a massive 20 years or so before I got back into really listening to him and then every day for the past 3 years - except for 2 weeks before Christmas when my Grandmother died and then I just couldn't listen cos I knew I would cry but now I am back to listening for about 3 hours a day and loving every second of it. Never ever bore of listening to P.

About a month.

I try to listen to something by him everyday. Even if it is something that he wrote for someone else. If I had to say the longest without listening to him would be about 2 days.
