Good work, Giovanni. Run DMC was making crazy tracks back when Prince was what, 15?, and they're probably going to make accepted into the RRHOF next year. Would be a good deal for Prince to get in on some of that press.

U R DEAD wrong.

Wow, you should be banned. Calling me a name and what sounds like a threat! What, are you gonna Prince-bonic me to death? Fam me until I can take no more?

The names U called me were incorrect.

I said how U were making yourself appear, which is FACT.

OK, listen. This really is about Jam Master Jay, and I really did talk with DXT, and he really did ask me 2 help, and I am far from conceited, or a poser, or any of that other crap.

LOOK... I'm not under any NDAs with anyone... Prince, Stevie, Herbie, etc., etc. I can say whatever I want 2, and I don't. I keep my mouth shut about all kinds of things that go on in this small world of music, out of RESPECT.

I felt it was "OK" 4 me 2 let the ORGers know about this.

If U can please just accept this, and let this thread be about what it is, we can just forget about it.

I just got off the phone with Grandmixer DXT, who is in charge of a recorded tribute 2 Jam Master Jay that he's about 2 embark on.

He wants Prince involved, and asked me 2 try 2 get the message 2 Prince, which I will do here, before my other paths 2 him.

I'm down with the whole original Zulu Nation hip-hop crew... Grandmixer DXT is known most 4 his scratches on Herbie Hancock's "Rockit".

Now he does a lot of digital remastering... he did the recently discovered John Coltrane/Thelonius Monk live recording... previously unheard, and stashed in the national archives.

Pretty cool.

Pretty cool indeed Giovanni thumbs up!

The disrespect toward u was unecessary.
LMAO @ Number23 callin himself a cunt falloff So u see, he doesn't even have respect for self.

I agree cool information Giovanni. The negative comments are way over the top and uncalled 4. Quite queenish actually

Thanks. I don't get it. I'm like the opposite of what they said, and I just do what I do. I'm not normally dropping names, and the folks that I deal with dig the fact that I'm down 2 earth. It's just 2 weird.

For the record its Grandmixer DST not "DXT". And secondly Prince knows nothing about hip hop nor hip hop culture to be included in a tribute to Jason Mizell. The guy knows nothing about it. Sorry Prince's people but its the truth.

SORRY. It is NOT "DST". He changed his name a while ago.

Do some more research, or just give him a call. He's pretty open and direct, and also knows me pretty well.

Also, if DXT says he wants Prince involved, and tells me why, don't U think I would trust that? This is one of my friends, who was not only close 2 Jason, but introduced me 2 Jason's brother, who I hadn't met, and all I could feel was deep respect. Dude is mad cool, and still hurting, as any brother should be.

I am going 2 do whatever I can 2 contribute 2 this, and D even asked me 2, so I will.

The main thing, is that I was just letting folks know about something I thought was important.

I don't care about attention at all.

Even some notable psycho ex-lovers didn't misunderstand my intentions that much.

Have you ever heard Jughead or Da, Da, Da? How about his rap on Push? Maybe his rhymes on The Latest Fashion show his skills in the hip-hop arena? Exhuming Doug E. Fresh for the hip-hop classic New Power Soul or whatever that terrible album was with Freaks on The Side. How about those catchy raps on Chaos and Disorder? Or when he thought it a good idea to bring that Grade D version of Eminmen into his camp in the late 90's? Hey, how about the T.C. Ellis solo album? With all these credentials, I can't believe anyone would ever suggest Prince doesn't know the first thing about hip-hop.

Oh, you're damn straight about that, but it is incredible that I've wasted my time here on the org, with these kind of insults.

The last time this happened, someone very related 2 this site talked me out of leaving entirely.

I might just have 2 go ghost on this whole negativity pit 4 a while.

This was supposed 2 be about a tribute 2 Jay, and these folks just tried as hard as they could 2 tear it down, and it was disturbing.

They tried 2 call me out 4 being the opposite of what I am. I don't give a shit about attention. I'm a loner and I do what I do. They might even be friends if they actually got 2 know me, without their prejudice.

Right? Like he's going after me that way. He's got an issue with me, so he'll say anything.

I'm just there, trying 2 let people know about what's going on, and this fool jumps in, 2 judge me, and he and buddy were jackin' each other off in their own damn misery. Or maybe they were just that "jaded", or whatever.

Don't matter. I'm down with alot of cats. If any one of these guys involved in the project sees this crap from THESE guys across the pond, they R going 2 be INSULTED, as I was.

These guys R simply challenging, because of their own issues. PERIOD. U nailed it.

As far as your other crack about internet tough guy, I don't recall posting messages filled with empty machismo, just honest criticism. Looks like you're the one who likes to dress up in flannel and play with axes. So backatcha, Tooly.

I will also say this while I don't know Giovanni personally I know for a fact he works in the industry because he is friends with the former keyboard player for Meshell Ndegeocello ... and extroidinary jazz/funk musician Federico Gonzalez Pena. How do I know? Because Federico and his wife are two very close friends of mine.

Wow, I didn't know he was friends with the former keyboard player for Meshell Ndgeocello. That's like my favorite former keyboardest. Tru respek.

And I disagree my posts are nasty. I am not one to attack or call names. 90% of the time I take the high road and don't even reply to the petty insults hurled at me when I give my opinion. The only one I insult is Prince and his music. But if you'll allow me a cliched response, if you don't like my take on Prince's music, and that's pretty much all I offer, then you can pass over them. Thanks and Happy Holidays.

I didn't say Federico was a former keyboard player I said he formerly played with Meshell (wise a$$) He continues to play in his own bad and is doing quite well thank you

Your a punk Wall... your a pissy little punk a$$ that hides behind the internet. I have been reading you a long time and you don't just insult Prince. You insult a lot of folks. What goes around come around always remember that... and of course all of this started because of our ridiculous and totally uncalled for attack on Giovanni and as I said you are wrong.
