We can Funk, which version?

I just want to know which version of We Can Funk do you people perfer. I personally think the version with Clinton is far superior than the original (not saying the original is bad). I just think that Prince added so much to the track (background vocals, bridge, etc). I listened to both versions back to back, and the version that I got chills from was the one with Clinton. I see how the original was just a start and he just built upon that. What do you guys think?

I know most will probably say the orginal because that's the one u heard first.

I think the one I like best is known as #3 (it's the one with Prince's spoken intro "If that don't work....Yeah, What?") I love that version.

I loved the george clinton version and didn't think the original(s) would compare.

but once i had heard an original version (#2?), which must have been only last year, i totally fell 4 that one instead.

strange....

just noticed my "welcone to the org" note
Welcome to "the org", Kudra23… see this gold chain around my waist? I wanna give it 2 U

Prince's screaming at the end on the Graffiti Bridge version blows the original out of the water for me...

I prefer the demo one.

The one with George is overproduced, it's kinda strange though because Im probably the biggest George fan in Belgium lol.

I prefer the Prince studio version

There aren't many things that I don't love from 1976 - 1989
some of the best years

You really can't miss with that song. They're all damn good. But I think my favorite is the one with the Miko solo ("Mikoooo....").

This is my favorite Prince song, and I've never heard #3.

I've heard the version on GB, and I've heard the one that's slow and grinding (1986), but apparently there's this other version out there...and I've never had the opportunity to taste it.

Makes me sad sad

And I like MOST of the 1986 version more, but the last part of the GB version almost makes that version superior. How it keeps growing and building with intensity..."Wanna make love to you, 2 times, maybe 3, and if you want to go 4 or 5, baby, that's all right with me!"

I wanna be loved to the 9s, so let me cover your ass with this sheet, and baby, you better stay on the beat! Cause you know the Karma Sutra? I can rewrite it. But, with half as many words.

The Prince only version is my favorite. I also love the extended version of the GB version. They are both FIYAH!
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that
