Everything in life has a beginning and an ending. Albums (or Cds) are no exception. Whenever you listen to a brand new album, that first song is really key. Every artist knows this. That's the song that hooks you into the project. But if that first song doesn't get to you, then the rest of the album is going to be less appealing from that point. Also, the last song is important too. If the album is a hit, you don't want to finish with a dud. That will definitely kill the whole project.
