The Vault Cover~

Even though the cd's insert says the record was recorded between 85' and 94' and was originally intended 4 private use...I'm glad that Prince released it...I love the album.

The pictures of Prince on the front and back cover are interesting poses.
The front seems as if Prince is "fed-up," with something...and the back cover looks as if Prince is either feeling shame, or is exhausted...The way that Prince is holding his hands is interesting.

What are your top two favorites from the cd?

"Extraordinary."

I love that cd. I like extraordinary, old friends for sale. My faves

nice album. eventhough it's not an album at all, is it? but still, bizar
how it flows better than rave which is in all effect a real 'album'.

the only song i don't like hearing is the new "old friends 4 sale", but
only because it's such a let down if you know the original version wich
is among the top 3 best songs prince ever recorded.

all in all, i'd love more of these type of releases. imagine if warners
would release a few more of these. how cool would that be!

is it true that meshell ndegeocello is on "when the lights go down"?
i think i read that somewhere but i'm not sure anymore.

the full title is "The Vault...Old Friends 4 Sale". you should be able
to pick it up at a bargain bin near your home lol. i've seen it where
i live for about $ 4.

I was just listening 2 this album 2day @ work.... I LOVE IT!

There is LONELY, best track like ever.

One of my favorites.. I love how the songs slip into each other like a glove. Excellent release.

Nobody has commented on Prince's Pose on the cover.

Do U think there is shame attached 2 "Old Friends 4 Sale?" Or is Prince just looking bored on the front and helpless on the back.

Nevertherless, they are interesting poses 4 Prince in comparison to most of His Photographs. Love the outfit he is wearing. And I Love the way Prince is straddling the chair.

wasn't it in one of the tourbooks or something? i remember seeing it
for the first time in it's original context after i'd had the album
for a while and thinking "oh ok, even the artwork is old bits just
like the songs". lol.

i like the album. the songs are very nice. the artwork could have
been a whole lot better though. it was horrible. just horrible.

5 women is my favorite.

I recently did a CD project at work (throwing obscure songs onto a CD and passing around, one song per artist) and WTLGD was my choice...his jazz is underexposed, imho.
