Great guitar playing and a catchy chorus.

What's the deal here? The BERLIN WALL came down in 1989, one of the last points at which Prince was commercially relevant. Does he hope referencing it will spark interest in his music again?

Pretty good song, nice guitar. A bit too much Jimi copping. The irony will be when Crimson and Clover becomes a big hit.

This sounds like an outtake from late 80's/early 90s. Schoolyard comes to mind.

Not terrible. Probably the least offensive of the bunch.

I believe the song is about a woman that has collected her identities...as Prince has most likely collected his. I'm not sure how 2 interpret knocking down the wall of Berlin...other than knocking down the illusions that exist when the world is full of different persectives of lives. Just because an avenue of understanding exists, doesn't mean that it leads 2 a conclusive truth...Every One, is willed of God. That is the broken bread of Life.

Spiritually speaking, there are heights of understanding, although we are all equal in the right 2 grow and be loved where we are. There is no mistaking that hatred is ignorance. And 2 Love is high. So is the understanding of how far your spirit has traveled.
