And I don't care, I surely won't get depressed about someone else's money who has earned it fairly, in opposite to others. It's the news of the day, people stealing other people's money, now THAT gets me depressed.

I never really heard about his networth. Just about what was in a local paper about Prince paying about $30 grand in taxes in 1987. His pay in 1992 and 2004. The big news was always the wasted money...Carmen Electra (and others), movies, videos, props....I guess he really spends like crazy.

1988-1989: Money problems
1989-1990: Big payday from Batman
1991-1992: Prince was #4 on Forbs with $50 million earned per CNN report
1994-1996: Money problems (failed projects / WB fight / poor sales / etc.)
1996-1997: Emancipation payday
1997-2004: N / A
2004-2008: Big payday from Musicology tour / 21nights / albums / concerts /etc.

Does anyone remember or have the poster with Prince on the bed and Mayted sitting behind him (Prince is on his stomach) with the big gold girl with wings as a head board? I have the poster but when I was visiting Paisley Park one day I saw that prop out behind by the dumpster.....just a little info I never shared...

That was the estimated worth of the advances IF and only IF each album sold 5million plus copies (the contract was drawn up following the 6million success of D&P). The fact that his follow up album only sold 2 million is one of the reasons he fell out with Warners Bros because he felt they were not promoting it enough (and he would not therefore get his $10million advance on his next album).
