..many have pondered over the question of what does the 3121 stand for..after doing intensive research on the subject, i believe i have the answer:..it's a connection of a collection of things..
..in the book-prince life and times by jason draper on pg.193 paragraph 1..it says it is the address of prince's 1st L.A. residence b-4 he moved to the sierra alta way location..ok,..but that's partially true..
..in 2004 during the musicology era..there was an intreview by jeff jensen in entertainment weekly..prince says.."i think the music business as a city"..he says"..you tear one down..another whole city starts developing..but a city needs human beings to run it..my whole point is that if the music came 1st,if the city was run by musicians instead of people with M.B.A.'s..everything would flop..this is what we need today..this is what i want to be-a musical mentor..to pass on the knowledge"..
..and that quote connects to the 2nd opinion of psalm 31:21..Blessed br the Lord:for He hath shewed me his marvellous kindness in a strong city..
..prince is music..he sees the music business as a "city"..a "strong city"..where God has showed him..His kindness..it is a well-known fact that prince had struggled w/the business-side of the industry since day 1..he has prevailed in the end and the song 3121 tells the story of victory..prince worked very hard through his career and we that love prince's work have to work as hard too..to understand his work..
..in the same '04 intreview he also says.."that's for all of you to decide..i don't intellectualize my music"..so permission is given to INTELLECUALIZE his work..
..also in the same '04 interview he was asked if he feels he's alienated his fans over the years,prince says.."no..the love has never left..i always felt that there were people in my corner..it's a gift..that God gives us..the chance to feel such love..and it's all for His glory:i don't believe in idol worship..that's why i don't sign autographs..when i get asked for my autograph..i say no and tell them why..because i'm giving them something to think about"..
..divine guidance helped me with the research..no lie..i simply asked God to guide me to the answer..opened my bible to exactly psalm 31..my thumb on ca.21..i knew that part was true..i then felt an urge to look through a magazine collection of prince..i knew the answer was in one that was prior to 2006..musicology was the one..that when i found the "intreview"..and the book was the 3rd urge..the word city in the bible connected to..the word city in the intreview that..connected to the word city in the book..

..1 person....

My understanding of this is Prince has a thing for the number "7". It's his birthday (which he doesn't celebrate) and if U add the numbers up they equal "7"

would that mean that you and God are wrong or just you or just God?

Or, maybe...Prince's understanding of 3121 is wrong. Possibly he doesn't have clarity on what he means by 3121.

Ah, what the hell, you and God may be right, Prince has never explained.
