This thread is really starting to take off.

It's NOT a "Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic" outtake. It's from the "Emancipation" sessions and it's correct title is "Die". Now you know why it was left off of "Emancipation".

Look, this pisses me off. What's the point in criticising songs like this? Prince never deemed it worthy for release so why bother dissing it? I'm sure he's done countless similar experiments. They don't have to be any good, they're just testing the water to see if he likes it.

Anyway, this song was not made during the Rave period, it was made in 1995 around the Emancipation period, hence similarities to The Human Body and New World.

sucky song, i agree. one of the few Emancipation outtakes that's actually worse than some of the stuff that got on there. btw, the actual title is "Die" according to Uptown.

I havent heard the song in ages but it wasnt that bad...the Livin Our Lives chorus especially the ending seemed to all be clashing together in turmoil

Ok just listend again..it isnt that bad..not for a cd per se' though. I like the music to it. Has that foot stomp near the mic feel.
