I'm planning to try to convert a Prince cynic who only knows him from the usual hits and has never seen him perform live on tape or the stage. So, which performance would impress a Prince virgin more and why?

1. Prince from the Dirty Mind/Controversy tours

2. Prince from the Parade/SOTT/Lovesexy tours

3. Prince from the Musicology/ Vegas/ O2 shows

Btw, my friend appreciates good musicianship without OTT special effects.

I'm a Prince fan that loves everything...however, if it doesn't have 2 be a performance that impresses him...I'd start him off with "The Rainbow Children." I think that album is a mind opener 2 Prince's diversity.
