Is it just me or does "the love we make" sound a little like David Bowie - Sweet Thing/Candidate/Sweet Thing (Reprise) from the diamond dogs album?. both are very epic. Dont know if it has been discussed before but i can definatly hear a resemblance especially in the verses.

i think there are plenty of similarities between the two artists, but i've never noticed the similarities between those two songs. i've always thought of sweet thing/etc. as a kind of seedy, apocalyptic mood piece while 'the love we make' feels more ethereal and anthem-like. not that there aren't pretty and anthem-ish parts to the bowie track(s), but i get two different feelings from them altogether. i like both songs, they have that in common for me!
