In Sydney, Australia in 1992. D&P tour and it was AWESOME - and he ain't been back here in over 5 years.

You guys in Europe and USA have been spoilt big time!!!!

Feb. 1983, the Triple Threat Tour w/ The TIME and Vanity 6 in Providence R.I., My world was never the same after that nite...

It was his Emancipation Concert.
Don't remember the year or day.

I saw the concert which was alright. Not great, but not bad. He performed his anthems very early in the show (Purple Rain, etc.), which surprised me, cause I think he ended the concert with some lame ass "Freaks on This Side" type of track.

Then I went to the aftershow. I absolutely loved the aftershow. he didn't perform anything recognizably Prince except "Days of Wild" at which point this dude in front of me who looked a bit like Grizzley Adams lost his fucking mind and jumped around rappin' all the words himself.

At that time, not everybody had Internet, and I chuckled to myself how everyone knew the lyrics to what was at that time an unreleased bootleg track.

The afterparty was really good. Prince was stunning up close.

April 9th, 1983.
I gave Prince a Rose.
Prince thanked me.
I sat on a road case and watched Vanity 6
And stood near the "Time," for a minute
as they were going on stage.
I wanted 2 leave with Prince forever,
But I had 2 go 2 school the next day.
I've missed Prince
Ever since.

When I found out he was coming down here in Lafayette, Louisiana, I couldn't sleep for days. I was soooo nervous about it I didn't know what to do with myself! It was my first concert of him in 1997 -the Emmancipation Tour and we went to the after party after and I was hand picked by the man himself to come up and dance on stage. I posted pictures of it sometime this year after almost 11 years. What a wonderful memory! The second and last time I've seen him was in Houston, TX in 2004. I was happy to go but I didn't want to go with the people I went with and they were sooo slow in doing things. We had some bad seats b/c they didn't want to buy the tickets when I wanted to and they didn't want to spend the money either. But I was pretty much happy with just going.

First night upper DECK...not far from us George Clinton was seated.

Second Night..Third Row on the main side of the theater in the round.
Fisrt time that would become several over the years that I would get to see Prince close up in real life.

Would have liked the 1st time to be on the purple rain tour
but my Mama wouldn't allow me to go then.Coincedentally,It was her Credit Card that got me the tickets to my 1st show.We had 4 tickets for the 1st night and somehow my friends dad was able to trade 2 of the out for 3rd row on the second show

I have seen him almost 30 times since.

I don't remember the exact date (I think it was in March of '83) but I saw him for the first time when he was touring the "1999" album with Vanity 6 and The Time. I was 16 years old! And I've never been the same after that!

he sprained his ankle that night thus he didn't per4m kiss that night. tho sheila was there while they did a love bizarre. funniest moment had 2 b while per4ming sometimes it snows in april, some girl got on stage and hugged him but wouldn't let go until security came lol

and flashed a huge smile just for me...

Then at the end of the night I told my friends

"P got me so wet in my panties!"

then when I went to the bathroom I realized that my visitor had arrived....

He was still known as The Artist which was printed on the tickets..
I was thrilled beyond belief to see him after all the years not getting to go to his concerts.

I've seen him three times since and he actually "high fived" me at the concert at the Rio in Las Vegas at Club 3121!

1990 Cork Ireland

Ireland were in the World Cup for the first time ever,and we only wanted to party.
As the early incarnation of the NPG rocked, so did we.
As Prince decided we had sweat enough,he slowed things down.
The crowd was having none of this and chants of "ole ole ole" rang out.
This I think upset Prince, but he jammed along with us, until he had enough .
He stopped the band and demanded of us "Whose stage is this anyway".
The man is totally cool.

I can't think of the exact date, but it was a Saturday in September in 1997 in Buffalo, NY. It was the Jam of the Year tour, and it was great. He played Face Down, LRC, When You Were Mine, stuff from Emancipation and other oldies. I think that every show I have seen since has been better, but you always remeber your first time.
This was the only show that I went to in which Prince did not pack the house. It was also the only show I went to where I did not have seats in the first 5 rows. My friend and I were about as far back as possible in what is now known as HSBC arena. We were so far back that you could not even make out anyone on stage. It was still the opening act (Larry Graham), so we decided to find better seats. We ended up in seats that were not on the floor but were not too far away from the stage. I am glad we did not get caught. What a time.

it was awesome

had a very crazy moment trying to get the tickets but managed to between me and a friend and i will thank ticketmaster forever for saving credit card details

remember turning up standing out in the rain for ages waiting to go in and being offered krispy kreme donuts by some random person then getting inside and being about 4 rows back on the right and feeling the bass from the speakers waiting till about 20 to midnight and seeing the horn section come down and play pass the peas and from that point on the set list is a blur but still was awesome though the towel moment was funny

then came that amazing summer at the O2

First of all my bad on the spelling[PRINCE].And second i started this thread and i dont even know the date of the first time i saw Prince in concert. I do know it was at a roller rink in L.A.. I watched him warm up for about an hour. Does any one know? I really cant remember. And u know u cant make a factual mistake on the ORG.
