Prince's "BLACK," Album ~Vs.~ Tony Orlando and Dawn's, "Ragtime Follies."

I am the biggest Prince fan there is, but I have 2 sadly confess,
that I don't listen to the Black Album anymore...So I have 2 go with
Tony and Dawn on this one.

i have not heard the black album yet.it must be awful if prince asks people not to buy it.i'm going to buy it anyway cause i'm wondering what it's about.Prince has made lots of great music so he's intitled to make mistakes.i still love him.

I wonder what makes the black album a classic....is it the fact that you could only get it on bootleg for the longest time, or the fact that IT CONTAINS SOME OF THE FUNKIEST MUSIC THAT PRINCE HAS EVER CREATED on it?????

Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Believe me, I am a fan of a large catalogue of artists and music forms; however, there is no possible way to make a comparison as they're two different syles and forms. The Black Album was pulled because he had a spiritual experience and felt that it was too raw to release. His music...His Right to Change.
