Lovesexy keyboards?

So Lovesexy has all these string samples played in crazy virtuostic ways... especially the ends of Glam Slam & Anna Stesia.
Anybody know if Prince actually played those?
Doesn't sound like Matt Fink's usual stuff, but I never know what Prince is capable of on the keys either.
Please shed some light!

Yes. It, like most of the 'Lovesexy' album, is indeed Prince.

I would venture to guess Claire Fischer (sp), who has done a ton of string arragements for Prince. Prince is a virtuoso on keys as well as guitar, but he has used Mr Fischer for a lot of his string arrangements.

I think the poster is referring 2 the keyboard parts, not actual string parts. In these, it is clear they are from a synth... likely a Roland.

The Roland D-50 was one of them.

Thanks for corroborating that it's Prince's work! Still surprises me, for some reason.
I don't think Clare Fischer had anything to do with Lovesexy (all the strings are sampled not live).

well we will never know will we, really.

i actually don't think Prince is an outstanding keyboard player. he's definitely good but he has a very particular style that is not very adventurous and seems to be repetitive.
