Don't Say U Love Me Does anyone know the history of this song? I just picked up a used copy of Martika's cd and noticed that Rahsaan Patterson sang backup on this. Do you know if P worked with them both at the same time (recording the vocals)? Any idea when the song was written? She also recognized that her record sales were slumping and it was time to do something else. I think so. 1991 and 92, P had dreams of owning his own label with LOTS of artists. He also wanted to write and produce songs for others. He did songs for Howard Hewitt, El Debarge, Celine Dion, Jevetta Steele and more all around the same time. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Don't Say U Love Me was recorded by Prince in 1990. Offered to Paula but rejected then was given to and re-recorded by Martika for her Kitchen album. Some people think I'm kinda cute
