Prince Mention on Golden Girls Hey Purple Party People!
Last night, I was relaxing in front of the TV and watching a rerun of "The Golden Girls" and there it was. I barely heard it, but there it was: a mention of PRINCE! 
All four of the women were seated at the table--over a cheesecake--and Blanche was ranting about how she was looking for "Mr. Right" and how one day her Prince would come. So as she stormed away, Rose asked, "What was all that about?" And Sophia replied, "I wasn't paying attention, but I think she's gonna sleep with that little Black guy, Prince." 
And I was dying laughing! Just wanted to share that! I love a Man who:

The funniest character, Ness talks about him. I laughed my arse off when she mentioned his name. | |

I do remember that episode. I saw the "Golden Girls," being taped one day in California, and I also had the pleasure of meeting Rue Mclanahan one afternoon at the Burbank 10 when she was helping 2 give away pets for the animal shelter. I don't watch it, so I don't know the names of the characters, but when one woman said that her dog was called Prince, another said something like "Prince, small in size but big in talent; I was on the front row back in 1984, in the Purple Rain Tour". I though it was funny | |

Dorothy was a substitute teacher and her class was reading a Tale of Two Cities (Excellent book, BTW). She failed the star quarterback because of his lackluster book report which roughly read as follows: "I enjoyed a Tale of Two Cities. Personally, Minneapolis is the better city because that is where Prince is from" That gets us up to 3, I bet there are more. BTW, Sophia was singing Purple Rain. I abdicated the throne in Ithaca, but now I am...
