Then again,it could be written for Jill, or with Jill in mind,and then offered to Apollonia6/Vanity6 , and then reclaimed ( they say he found it too good to be given to them).

Was it part of the stage show or did he really smoke for a while ? As far as I know, he had a voice coach before shooting Purple Rain so I guess this was during 1999.

I don't know why the hell people are so concerned if Prince himself used to smoke or not. This shit is getting on my nerves. I'm going outside to get a cigarette.
