we must let go, he's 50 and would be woefully out of place with her. if she were born 20 years earlier she would have been a quintesential prince chick. he would have had fun with her visually and musically, and lets keep it real prince aint never gave a damn if a woman had talent LOL.Plus right now she dont need him nor his guidance as with most young people and their elders, it's just a cruel fact of life.

Yes, Prince is notorious for having some fly women. Sheila E, to me was the talented one. If you notice, they did a lot of shows together, so to some degree, he was and is still concern with talent.

Rihanna is like the female version of Prince in terms of looks and Prince being Prince he would mentor her to make it a really great duet. What could the name for this song be? Rihanna Cab Driver? Shut Up And Funk? Umbrella MF wink ?

Ba-hahahahahahaha yea, okay.... Carmen, Apollonia, Money Love, Sheena, Susannah, Vanity, Elisa, Martika, Madonna, Nona, Tamar, Twins - collectively as much talent as your average retards left droopy puss-nut...

ACTUALLY..it makes a lot of sense...I think some Prince fans have short memories....Prince was never above co-signing sexy, fine female vocalist with weak voices...(From Vanity to Appolonia)...

Let's cut it out y'all...lol

Absolutely NOT!

I don't want Prince dueting with anyone unless they're a real musician or can actually sing.

Of all the women you've mentioned, Sheena was more talented. She has a very good voice, but her sexy image overshadowed it. Prince sang "U Got The Look" with her. At least he has a bit of concern about talent. Sheila E can kick some drums and can produce her own songs.

Duh - very easily! One is a real musician with loads of natural talent and the other is just a pop princess who wears sexy clothes to get attention.

What part of your post was sarcastic? The part about Prince being a real musician or the part about Rihanna being a pop princess?

I'm pretty sure both of those things are true, which means the irony necessary for sarcasm is lacking.

An almost unanimous opposition which seems to be about Rihanna lacking talent. Do I smell some musical elitism here?! wink She's not one the great talents out there but she probably has a solid career in front of her.

Prince doing such a duet could be a way to let a younger generation discover his musical treasure. It could also be a way for a legend like himself to show good will towards younger artists who are at the beginning of their musical experience.

might as well stop hating on Rih cuz she and Prince will b per4ing at Barack's Inaugurational Ball. They are working out the final details of the contract. Prince selected her 4 a reason....I think she will do just fine.

How do U know this?

Just today on a new episode of the Tyra Banks Show, Alicia Keys said nothing has been confirmed/finalized regarding performances at the Ball....And if an American/public Obama supporter/"Superwoman"-singing musical role model such as Alicia hasn't been set in stone on the list yet, I can't believe Rihanna of all people has. confused

But if this is true: Oh well; too bad; kind of expected it honestly. To me, this "duet" will be just as bad as when MJ performed with Britney Spears (as someone referred to above). *Oh..the terrible memories..... sigh headache*

all i can say is, how many people got fed up with listening to drunken/overexcited idiots singing -

...ELLA ELLA ELLA EH EH EH
YOU CAN STAND UNDER MY UMBRELLA
ELLA ELLA ELLA EH EH EH
ELLA ELLA ELLA EH EH EH
YOU CAN STAND UNDER MY UMBRELLA
ELLA ELLA ELLA EH EH EH
ELLA ELLA ELLA EH EH EH
YOU CAN STAND UNDER MY UMBRELLA
ELLA ELLA ELLA EH EH EH
ELLA ELLA ELLA EH EH EH...
(you get the idea)

yeh...thanx for your contribution to boost the average IQ of the country and people's sanity

that 'eh eh eh' sound reminds me of the high-pitched stabbing sound used in Psycho...
This is what it's like in the dream factory...
