Early jobs? This came to my mind the last 2 minutes...
Has Prince ever done another job except for what he does from over 30 years? I mean, he started playin' at age 7, built up a band at 12 or so, had his first concacts with major labels when he just turned 18, had a contract at 19. So, from his 19th birthday, he didn't need any other job. I know he has spent most of the time at Bernadette's, Andre's mom and I guess she didn't ask money from him. So Prince never really needed to have a job as a teen? [Edited 12/3/08 2:12am]

In an interview from the early 80s he stated he never had another job.
I think it just wouldn't fit Prince - doing some dirty work for a bit of money He'd rather stay at home, write songs and count his women.

I heard he started off as a paperboy for a couple of years, then moved to cleaning bars, then worked himself up to serving food and drinks at Fifth Avenue where they discovered his talent for music and gave him the chance to perform, which he took. The rest is history.

Didn´t he once say that he used to work as an usher at a movie theatre ? This was mentioned in a short article which claimed that Prince dropped some popcorn on the floor and when the usher came to clean it up he said that he used to have the same job as a teenager.
He also mentions spending a lot of time at movie shows in several songs, The Good Life being one of them , and it is pretty clear that he´s a film fanatic. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

I still say if the music deal hadn't played out, he could have been a model. He could have been like the male translation of Kate Moss. (w/o the coke)
She was smaller than the models before her and Prince certainly would be smaller than all the other male models out there. He could be a muse for someone. No one is as interesting as Prince is. (You know, besides me ) He coulda been a model. I love a Man who:
Wears More Make Up Than Me. Wears Four Inch Stilleto Boots. Changes His Name To An Unpronouncable Symbol. Who Changes His Name Back From An Unpronouncable Symbol. Oh And Most Importantly, Who Is Sexy Little Drop Of Butterscotch
