U know after some of the recent things that have been said I'm seriously beginning to think that maybe Prince should go back to the days when he DID NOT give interviews....and not because I think that everything printed is true...far from it, but it is far to easy to be missquoted by people/reporters. Now if I remember correctly he stopped giving interviews in the first place, way back when because someone severely twisted something he said.
Obviously somehwere along the line he has decided to put some kind of trust back into the press I wonder if he will end up changing his mind again I mean I have no doubt like all of us he says some stupid things ( and dont tell me u wouldn't) and I sometimes think some of the things he supposedly says is just him messing with people but really, look how often people are misquoted
Maybe he should just stick to press conferences...or simply just return to the Ol' Silent Treatment

I think Prince IS misquoted many times in the press. I think the point is not what is written in the papers, but how he conducts himself. At the moment if the news is to be believed, he is being sued by two seperate companies.What comes to mind is 'Do unto others as you would do unto yourself'. I truely believe that Prince's intentions are good, I don't feel he has a good way of expressing himself. Having said all that, at the age of 50 one would think he would have more sense to go round preaching, and laying down the law (example the internet). As he once said 'no one man can be ruler'. Believe it it's true!!!

i agree with either having a press conference or just allow tape recorders when he conducts his interviews would solve alot. tho the only thing with tape records is, the interviewer could then twist his words even still. so what r we left then with? shows like 60 mins, or morning talk shows so that in one instance he could b heard and understood thus limiting the amounts of misquotes.

I'm sure Prince is too worried that someone will get the tape recording and sell it as a bootleg. I have actually seen CDs in some record stores with Prince's picture on it and I knew it wasn't an album that I had ever seen before. I've even started to buy one until I read it closer and found out it was only an interview.

I would rather that Prince is free to think and say whatever he wants as I do, their apparent declarations don´t influence my admiration for him and it can´t nullify his great career as an artist

He should maybe stop doing interviews until he has a website up and running. With no form of direct communication to the world without relying on the media to report it, that's how you get into trouble if you let your guard down.

interviews with people that love debating/discussion,
with people that love love love music
or with people that are really easy going and funny but respectful
