I remember when the reviews came out,"Purple Rain" got criticized for as they put it, degrading women in that movie. Even the album was criticized. Remember the review for "Darling Nikki"?

Yep. They said Madonna was degrading to women at the time, too. lol

And Tipper Gore threw a fit over "Darling Nikki" and Cyndi Lauper's "She Bop" when she discovered to her horror their about girls masturbating. lol
