Dr. Funk has been dignified and ignored you all so far, but I hate seeing someone who has done nothing but provide us with Prince news, from the Prince camp itself, deal with all this abuse. I believe the contemporary term for this behavior is called cyber bullying and it is just not right. I believe that some of the instigators of this nonsense are just jealous that Prince chooses him over them to report his "news". Prince has always been cryptic so it is hardly Drfunk's fault that it comes out that way. I for one like getting the information and I thank Drfunk for being our conduit to Prince for now.

You pick and choose the ones that don't seem to be so vile against the celebs. We don't know if Dr FB will reveal himself but if he does, then cool. If not, so what. Life will still go on right? Which begs me to ask you this Militant or anyone else who is reading this. If Dr FB were to reveal himself, how will you respond to it? What if it was the person whose name was revealed not too long ago, would you be cool with it or would you be pissed? How exactly did I "make it sound" like that? I didn't at all. I don't have any venom against the good doctor and I enjoy his site. I just think that it's hypocritical to be reporting on celebrities lives and trying to keep some sort of anonymity for yourself. Perez Hilton doesn't do it and he's the number one gossip blogger in the game. Of course, he wouldn't be able to do it due to his popularity, and if the Doc's site becomes anywhere near as popular, he won't be able to either, so better get used to it now. purplecam, I'm fully aware that celebrities give news stories to bloggers. But if those are your only sources, your site is going nowhere, because people want more than promotional fluff-pieces that make the celebrity look good from these sites. Actually more often than not they want the dirt, the gossip, the skeletons in the closet. Why do you think Perez is so popular? Because that's what he posts, most of the time. I do find it strange that Prince uses Dr FB to get things out yet claims the internet is full of criminals, time wasters and pornographers.
It just seems hypocritical that he slates the internet on one hand yet uses it when he needs it. As to what would happen if Dr FB revealed himself? Actually I'd have far more respect for him. | |

He wasn't lying and that doesn't mean it makes him a criminal to use the internet to get out information that there seems to be a demand for. Honestly, do we really want Prince to disappear? Again, this nonsense with Drfunk seems to be very childish and personal, and what difference will it make to you if he reveals himself or not? You can say.... "I told you he is so and so?" Then what? I am sure Prince and Drfunk are staying awake at night worrying about how much you respect them. The hypocrisy is in that statement itself when it seems you are oozing with disrespect yourself. Knowing more about him personally than most... I know that he is a graphics designer for a popular gaming company and gets paid big dollars to 'exclusively' use his talents for them. If they found out he was doing for us for 'free' what they paid generously for... it would breach his contract and he would be out of work. We respect his right of privacy because we understand the consequences breaching his privacy would hold. And as for Dr. F, if you don't respect the guy... simply don't read his blog. You say you'd have more respect for him if he revealed himself.. yet you don't want to respect his right of privacy..? Things like that goo hand and hand. What I'm getting at is besides being an issue of simple 'respect'... there are often some sort of consequence for revealing too much information... as in this case Dr. F making public his I.D. The most likely consequence would be getting cut off from his various sources because they would be compromised via association with him. ie... no more news... or in the case of 'leaked' information... the leak would be found out... still.. no more news. You may only turn your attention to Dr. F's blog when there is something about Prince there... but stories of Prince does not dominate that blog. He reports news/ gossip on celebrities in general. Public knowledge of who he is may not only have ramifications on the news/ gossip he gets from Prince's camp... but from many other celebrities as well. Connected people often stay well connected because they don't talk to much. And they keep their sources because the their is no trail of bread crumbs which can lead back to these sources if news/ gossip comes out that shouldnn't have other wise been known. So what if I told you right now,.. I know who Dr. F is and his name is Steve Rodgers. Would that mean anything more to you than the pseudonym Dr. F...? OK... you know his name is Steve... now what..? What difference did it make? Does the knowledge that his name is Steve change the validity of what he reports? I'm curious as to how much information do you want... and what you plan to do with the information once you get it. This is the internet... an obvious alias such as DR. Funkenberry has little difference from the name 'Steve Rogers' unless you attach a whole lot of personal information to the name. Otherwise..... it too can be an alias... so what real difference does it make. However, I'll bet now you'd want to know where he works and how he gets his information...blah blah blah. You and others like you sound like gossip junkies who wants to turn the reporter of the gossip into the gossip itself. Or at the very least... have some sort of personal knowledge of a person who doesn't want to be 'personal' with you and have theor personal knowledge spread all over the internet. Did I mention a right of privacy. Celebrities often compromise thier right of privacy... but last I checked... reporters, bloggers, etc were not celebrities and thus have a right to their privacy. If you enjoy the tid bits he delivers about Prince and many other celebrities he also delivers news and gossip about... then enjoy him... respect him.. and respect his right of privacy. I don't have any problem with Dr. Funkenberry, at least we can get some news and other tidbits. I prefer that Prince has his own website but he's being incredibly irrational and stubborn about that whole deal, so i would take drfb for what it is cuz its better than nothing. | |

That's an interesting theory...I think Prince reads the org OR Dr FB reads it and tells Prince. Either way, whenever Dr FB posts anything it always pertains to a topic being discussed...hmmm interesting. 
Either way, I wouldn't be surprised if Dr FB is Mister P himself...
