It's like when "celebrities" claim invasion of privacy but court the media for publicity when they need it. "Dr Funkenberry" loves a celebrity gossip or expose but wishes to hide under a cloud of anonymity - I personally find that hypocritical but each to their own.

There was absolutely nothing wrong with posting his name in my opinion.

As freakyfeet says - anyone who makes their living reporting on the ins-and-outs of celebrity life doesn't deserve any anonymity.

That is not to say that Funkenberry is as crass as someone like Perez, but the point still stands.

Dr. Funkenberry is just trying to make a living like everyone else. Information seems to be passed on to him by his reliable Prince sources and all he gets is insults and abuse. I love Prince, and I love hanging out here and on HQ, but sometimes I find Prince fans to be too mean,rude, and no better than school yard bullies. Unless you are all willing to have your real names out there, disclosed by people that did not have permission to disclose them, keep your mouths shut.We all hide behind aliases. So what? Every time Dr. Funkenberry reports anything, I feel like I am back in fucking high school where the school yard bullies come out and pick on certain people so they can feel mighty and important. Dr. Funk has been dignified and ignored you all so far, but I hate seeing someone who has done nothing but provide us with Prince news, from the Prince camp itself, deal with all this abuse. I believe the contemporary term for this behavior is called cyber bullying and it is just not right. I believe that some of the instigators of this nonsense are just jealous that Prince chooses him over them to report his "news". Prince has always been cryptic so it is hardly Drfunk's fault that it comes out that way. I for one like getting the information and I thank Drfunk for being our conduit to Prince for now.
