What are your fave Crystal Ball tracks?...I recieved my copy 2day! OH YEAH!

I have listened to the 3 discs once (havent listened to The Truth just yet) and I must say it was better than I expected apart from a few tracks that didnt do anything for me. However 1 mans junk is another mans gold nod The Tracks that stood out 4 me on first listen are as follows....

1. Acknowledge Me - What a great funky fucking tune! and I love the rap certainley up there with Face Down IMO

2. Lovesign - May I ask what is Lovesign? Is it the Symbol? anyway its a great simple track very catchy nod and with prince sometimes less is soooo much more

3. Movie Star - Great Tune!

4. Crucial - Lovley Vocal

5. Cloreen Baconskin - Even tho its very long it was rather funny, sounded like P was stoned or something lol

6. Days Of Wild - has easily become 1 of my fave tracks, again lovley rap biggrin

7. She Gave Her Angels - Beautiful

8. P Control - I actually prefer this version its sounds less cheesy and the new backing music improves the original rap for some reason it seems less cluttered

9. Goodbye - How in the hell did this song not make it on2 Emancipation? Seriously considering soem of the shite thats on that album, its such a beautiful song, definitley 1 of my faves of this album wink

anyway what tunes are your faves of the album?

Yeah that one is a grower, I think cuz its such a big album (like Emancipation) u cant really take it all in at once. However I do think it wouldve been better if he seperated the 80s stuff from the 90s stuff as it dosent really flow well as an album IMO...But then again judging by the printing on the CDs maybe he wanted it 2 have a bootlegg feel...not that I know what 1 sounds like lol

lol That's not what they meant and you know it! lol

CB'98 is a mixed bag - For every 'Dream Factory' or 'Acknowledge Me' there's a 'Poom Poom' or superfluous remix. It does a decent job of collecting a lot of the Gold/Come era tracks that should've found an official release earlier like 'Calhoun Square', 'What's My Name' or 'Interactive' (I do prefer the shorter version with the NPG Operator break)

the lovesign is taking ur index finger and middle finger held 2gether and ur thumb stretched out forming the letter L. the original version of this song is better than the remixed version on CB imo. tho the teddy riley mixes r good as well.

moviestar suffers from the edits of the original and the lame background of background music of jam of the year.

crucial is better with the sax version

and i agree with the rest of ur observations

my personal favs would include hide the bone, da bang, and 18 and over
man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81
