Will the BET Awards give Prince a Lifetime Achievement Award in '09?

Every year, BET honor and pay tribute to the best of the best of legendary muscians and performers from Earth, Wind And Fire, Chaka Khan and Al Green. I'm not even an award show person, but that segment usually comes correct and rarely disappoint. Much of it has to do with just how talented they are in comparison to shit-hop acts that perform on that show. I would love for Alan Leeds or someone who knows Prince to say a few words, and then the tribute. This would be my setlist in no particular order:

Adore
I Wanna Be Your Lover
If I Was Your Girlfriend
Sign O' The Times
1999
And wishful thinking Dolphin (I'm so sick of "Purple Rain"

Post your setlist just to have fun

Well first off, fuck BET. They lost credibility a long time ago. But if they so happen to honor Prince at their awards show I would still watch it.

They should give it to him but they usually switch back and forth between a female honoree and a male honoree. Al Green was honored last year so it will most likely be a female this year.

Well I Believe Its Time for That Award, Prince has reached 50, he still sells well in Concert and is relevant to the commercial music world (on and off, thats when he wants smile.

Hmmmm...it'd wonderful to have some amazing artist cover his songs iN A Special Tribute.

If I had to orchestrate this segment of the SHOW!

1. The Return of Tevin Campbell, performing "SHHHH...Break it down".
2. Sheila E. w/ Micheal B., & Sonny T. performs "Love Bizarre".
3. The Return of D'Angelo. performing "Adore".
4. Sananda aka Terence Trent D'Arby performs "17 Days"
5. Alicia Keys "How come u don't call me anymore"
6. Outkast Feat. ?uestLove performs Pop Life
7. Jill Scott performs Purple Rain

I avoid BET like the plague but for a show like this ^, I'd have no choice but to try and get tickets to see that Live! lol
I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.
