People talk about Prince and his music. His music usually contains lyrics that deal with things like "It's a law in 13 states what I am going to do to you..." ect.

I'm going to use this as an example. Michael Jackson does not sing about sex in his music, so there is no point in discussing related things like that about him or his music.

Prince always has and still does sing about sexual things. Of course people are going to talk about it. Music speaks a thousand words. If Prince never sand about sex i doubt people would talk about it so much in regards to him.

Why Do Fans Get DIRTY MINDS AROUND PRINCE? Since a large portion of his musical career included "dirty songs" it's very natural for fans to get "dirty". That the last 25% of his career is non-"dirty" and Jehovah's Witnesses-friendly (although it's not completely) won't stop people from commenting on the first 75% of his career.

Beyond that, fans will often have some sort of sexual connection to their artist, regardless of his/her sexual expression.
