It's nowhere near his worst song. In the grand scheme, it hovers right around the middle.

Having said that, it's not the kind of song you'd expect a 40+ year old man to make. It would have worked much better in the early 90s.

I actually really love this song. Sure, the lyrics are cheesy, but I love the production of it. Crazy synth bass, love the vocal effect and the layered chorus, and it has a classic horn line too. I prefer the Rave Un2 version to the Rave In2 remix version.

Hot Wit U isn't even the worst song on the Rave album.

I can deal with Hot Wit U. I think some of the lyrics are cool to sing along to, and I dig the music.

For the most part, Rave is a good album.

The only piece of garbage on the CD (Sorry Sheryl Crow) is Every Day is a Winding Road.

That get's the fast-forward skip button EVERY time!

I can't believe how terrible that song his. It was bad enough when Sheryl did it by herself. Prince should have recogized that his version was even worse, and spared us! He could have just put Pretty Man on the album offically, instead rather than waste 6:12 of our lives.

With that being said, the BEST song on that album is Man O'War.

I don't think its the worst song he'd ever written. It's just okay, though I do enjoy it quite a bit. Doesn't fit into his age, I agree. The lyrics for Eve' rap were good, but I'm not crazy about the idea of rapping yet I can tolerate it in throughout this album like with Undisputed, I don't mind so much either. The subject-matter was probably leftover from a couple years before this album's release and he had to get it out of his system.

The title track, the production really isn't all that great. His vocals aren't smooth as if they were jumbled together to make it sound scratchy. The only track I do skip is "Prettyman" simply because the lyrics are ridiculously "I'm filthy cute and I know it"... making fun of himself perhaps, but still

Man o' War and Love u but don't trust u anymore are the two best tracks and because of a lot of the others, they get passed over, which I find sad

i think this track epitomizes that plasticy late 90s sound of his that i just find deplorable. those drum sounds sound about as stale as day-old bread...and less appetizing.

I like it...I like the lit match in the opening also.

I really like this song.
