Is Prince The Ultimate Performer? Is Prince the Ultimate Performer for u? I have to admitt I personally have not been to many live performances of many artistis (considering where I live seems to take great effort for any performer to come to  ) But back in the early 90's I was lucky enough to be in Brisbane Australia and see Prince live and he blew me away  
Even with all the live performances of Prince and other artists I have seen on tv...Prince seems to have the greatest stage Presence
Some artists are either great vocally or musically...or with special effects and dance routines, or making the audience feel like they are part of the act...but very rarely do u see ANYONE do all these things combined But somehow Prince seems to do all that and more. He draws u in, makes u want to dance, treats ure ears to musical dynamite and beauty and draws u in. I remember one of the girls that came to the D&P concert with me loved Prince's music could never understand why the rest of us thought he was so...sexy... after the concert she grabbed my arm and said "MY God...Now I get it, girl he's HOT"
I think it was because whatever it is he has just seems to pour out all over u and reach u wherever u are. His stage presence seems larger than life, despite his pint size... And for all this..for me personally, it makes Prince the Ultimate performer... Of course...U may disagree  PRINCE IS WATCHING U  " When an Artist Creates, whatever they create belongs to society"

Prince turns it out everytime! The only other performer I've seen that might compare to Prince live, for me, is Teena Marie. I saw her live in Anaheim back in 2004 (I think?) and girl turned it out for 3 hours without an encore!!! Just song after wonderful song, taking request and eveything! Tres Le Bomb! years ago i would have said yes he is ..but lately live he just isn't doing it 4 me ..i've had more fun at lenny's shows, jill scott, alicia keys and erykah badu than prince man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81 | |
