The 25 Worst-Selling #1 Albums - Prince #8 http://new.music.yahoo.co...-1-albums/
8. Prince, 3121, 530,000. What's a legend like Prince doing on a list like this? Anybody can have an album that under-performs, to use a favored industry euphemism. 3121 charted in March 2006. It was Prince's fourth album to reach #1; his first to do since Batman in 1989. "Black Sweat" was the only song from the album to make the Hot 100. It spent one week on the chart at #60. "So strange that no one stayed at the end of the Parade..." - Wendy & Lisa's "Song About" on their 1987 self-titled album.

Blame Prince for poo pooing all of the Promotion he had planned on doing. Especially once Universal put the statement out about what that promotion was going to be. I really think he wasted all oppprtunity with that album. Obviously he had bigger plans for it, but it seemed like all at once he was no longer interested in any of it. Shame too as it blows PE and Musicalogy out of the water and still holds up as a decent album. Christian Zombie Vampires

I'm kinda shocked at Marilyn Manson Mechanical Animals. I thought that album did pretty well. Christian Zombie Vampires

Yeah, I don't understand what went wrong. He put out a really strong video for Black Sweat and then lost all interest. I'd figured he'd gotten over ruining his albums' chances for commercial success, but apparently not. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

I'd figured he'd gotten over ruining his albums' chances for commercial success, but apparently not. He also appeared on SNL and gave a smokin appearance. He also released the Te Amo Corozon Video he did with Salma...not to mention the Pic Discs for Black Sweat and Fury (along with the cool Fury splash page on the Net). Then there was Temars album too. It seemed as though right aorund the Amercian Idol things went very wrong. Christian Zombie Vampires
