It sounds quite good. I've only ever seen/heard a snippet of the Ray Charles Advert, so I can't comment to much on the differences between them - basically Princes version has a very repetive bass/drum machine sound, piano and female gospel vocals saying "uh-huh" every few seconds!!!
Not one of his best - not worth $7 mil!!!

I don't know where you heard $7 Million - that's just FALSE.

It was $2 Million. Still a lot of money!

Uptown reported that Prince received "a cool 7 million" for doing this song for Pepsi.I always thought that figure was inflated.

Did they mention how much he got for the "Always Coca-Cola" jingle that was attributed to Prince?(which were ironically competing ads back in the mid/early 90's)

Prince`s version of this song is actually very good. It sounds a bit like a funky gospel tune when you listen to it a few times. I thought that the story went that Prince gave the song to Ray Charles who was then approached by the people at Pepsi. Ray told them that it was written by Prince who got paid. Either 2 million or 7 million whats the difference? Thats a lot of Pepsi!!!
