Actually I think we did have a least dated song thread.
As I recall my choice was Rainbow Children, and a few of his jazz and blues songs. Like them or not, they're for the most part hard to date. "Knowledge is preferable to ignorance. Better by far to embrace the hard truth than a reassuring faith. If we crave some cosmic purpose, then let us find ourselves a worthy goal" - Carl Sagan

As far as lyrics (in light of current political events), Sign O the Times and Money Don't Matter are not outdated. NPGMC problems notwithstanding...

Much, too much out dated... Prince 'nuff said. "So strange that no one stayed at the end of the Parade..." - Wendy & Lisa's "Song About" on their 1987 self-titled album.

Ronnie Talk to Russia...
What??? OK, just kidding. But perhaps DMSR would be a good choice. Just a little remastering and you've got something the kids would love (that is if Nelly was performing it or some shit).

funny i think songs like "sometimes it snows in april" will stand the test of time the best.. "joy in repetition" is another example... these are classics imo ...

Controversy. It made top 5 in the UK in (i think!) 1993.
sounds vaguely like an early form of 'house' to me. I'd also like to nominate 'Erotic City'.
