my poyfeck pwince moment is right now.

In my old old home...that I raised my kids in...Was an antique home built in 1875. A wall piano sat underneath the double doored window...and the schoolhouse that was the site of the first log schoolhouse was my view.

On cold winter nights, I would be alone standing in a corner over a copper floor heat vent...And listen to Prince...I remember..."Blue Light," one December, as my Christmas Tree was also all blue lights...

The snow was falling...all was quiet, and Prince was just right there.

My perfect Prince moment

I flip on VH1 and see Prince dancing in the Diamonds and Pearls video..

I say to my mom -->

"I think Prince is writing songs about me"

She says....

"yeah that could be, you r his type"

very matter of factly...

but not as though it was my ultimate breakthrough

The last time I saw him in concert, the moment he walked out on stage he got the longest standing ovation I've ever seen, he was so gracious. I knew at that moment, I'd be a fan for the rest of my life.

When I winked and blew him a Kiss @ the 7/7/7 concert @ First Ave...

and during the show...the crowd was packed like sardines until...the energy of his performance melted over everyone and gave me a special little spot to jam out

I've had so many perfect momentz...I guess the last 1 was when I finally got my handz on 21 Nightz,and settled down 2 look thru it,while playing Indigo Nightz,and sipping some wine.
