look. the age-old argument between whether or not this is a fan worship site or a fan discussion site, is just that. OLD.

personally i think whatever people want to discuss in here is fair game. people in here really take it too far. they act like Prince comes in here, reads what's said about him and is somehow hurt by it. it's ridiculous.

and as far as the topic at hand, i think it's absolutely fair and relevant to discuss his recent statements in reference to the gay community. for someone that built his empire with the implication of being gay, to openly promoting bi-sexuality with his lyrics and live performances, to turn around now and say some shit like that is at the least epically hypocritical, and at a time with equal rights for the gay community is probably our latest global civil rights struggle, is unforgivable in my book.

but that's just my opinion.

You see, that's why I can't accept the church. In a way I do believe there is something but more deep inside. I absolutely HATE the hypocrisy of the church since the church fanatics, priests etc cover soooo many gay and pedofile people so I really don't want to hear from them (not meaning you) what to do and what not.
For an example that American ass (a politician?) comes to mind who condemned homosexuality, overly religious, 5 kids, such a sweet and good man (barf) and bam, turned out he went to male whores for years, I get sick of that kind of hypocrisy. I thought being a Christian means being good, kind and honest and above all tolerant. The real fanatics don't seem to be all of that.

On the other hand, if these really are hardcore fans (doubtful as they would focus on the music mostly) then why no uproar at Prince's alleged objectification of women, lack of philanthropy and embassadorship, absense of public commentary on the Iraq war etc.? I think he coulda said or rather been misquoted as saying "God saw everyone laughing too hard and being too lazy so he said enough and gave us global warming" and nobody woulda said shit or got mad. I think when so called Prince fans meet so called political incorrectness then all hell break loose on the org borg mothaship. I guess my point is...some people wanted something to be angry at Prince about and they found it. Some people like prince drama more than a little bit, more than they actually like Prince.

Its gets sketchy b/c some folks think that being Christian does not also mean you follow the old testament as well.
