~Digging For Gold~

I never really cared for that line. As a writer, I've never used it. My idea of digging for gold is mining the heart.
My Marriage Proposal 2 Prince has created quite a stir...It would be nice if we could talk about what Gold means 2 U.
I can admit that there may be details about Prince's life that I do not understand in a world where money as a resource has to be governed and saved, counted and spent. I suppose the first thing that money buys is the responsibility 4 it.
I am sure that there are people here on this site that believe I have come 2 Prince 2 dig into his pockets..yet nevermind that notion as I refuse to let this thread turn into that perspective of gold.
If digging 4 gold was ever my intention, I can tell you that I didn't have to dig any deeper than 1979, 2 see that Gold was sitting right there.
I would like to approach this thread with sincerity and say to some members that may come to plant themselves as a fool amongst a room of Prince friends, That your words of ridicule will not be offered a chair in my mind.
Everyone here has the opportunity to see that Gold to me is a friend in a man that I could wrap my arms around and plant morning kisses on, as on my golden watch, it is the dawn.

i couldn't agree more. people who do this in public ought to have ms. manners on their case. why can't we treat each other with respect around hre? that's all i ask. use a kleenex, folks. just. do. it.

I can only say that I admire the way to defend your feelings, I am a lonely woman and I would like some day to feel like that and have the courage to express to the world as you do it yourself, I am concerned about the attacks by people who feel different, but we are all free to express what we think, and between love, hate, violence, madness,envy, I prefer anyway love and madness

Are you a writer in the sense that Ingrid Chavez was a writer of sweet sweet poetry in Graffiti Bridge?

Or a writer like Joan Colins is a writer?

As far as the digging for gold shit, I don't think anybody here thinks you've come to prince.org to dig for gold in establishing a relationship with Prince. Tame, we all know Prince won't even sign an autograph for you, let alone share his riches with you, honey!

If Prince introduced me to Simon and Schuster...I suppose it is possible that I would enhance Prince's pocketbook.

And I also have a couple of short stories that could slide into a "Gotham Writers' Workshop." Handbook for College students.

But with regards to what pplrain said, she is sick, and evil, and does some very horrible things in her spare time. You should not lower yourself to responding to such a morally corrupt soul. Prince is not a person prone to angry thoughts, but I know in my heart that he struggles to not hate pplrain. This is why I respect him, cause it's so easy to just hate the woman.

Imago~I don't know anything about pplrain, other than her negative aspect of speaking, does not resemble the positive feeling I get from "Purple Rain."

And yes, she certainly does not embody the beautiful qualities of "Purple Rain", though if we can convince all those that we know to just ignore her and concentrate on our own journey sans the silly, evil cow, maybe she'll slowly fade away like a case of the drip after a shot of penicillin.

As for Digging for Gold...that does not necessarily pertain to money. All that Glitters ain't Gold Things that appear beautiful are not all they seem to be in other words. Just because something looks shinny or perfect...dosent mean it is. "Gold" can be found in the depths of poverty...think about it
