It's 30 years worth of heart and soul. If Prince introduced me to Simon and Schuster...I suppose it is possible that I would enhance Prince's pocketbook. And I also have a couple of short stories that could slide into a "Gotham Writers' Workshop." Handbook for College students. I have a Children's story called, "A Zebra Christmas," that with Disney's help, could prove to be a Christmas Classic... U remind me of Miss Dreamypoproyalty in a way. Prince has inspired her to write as well and inspirtaion at least is a beautiful thing But please tell me that Prince is not ure only inspiration. Many thins inspire my writing and my art....beauty is everywhere if u bother to look Whilst some of my art is spattered with Prince symbols...Prince is not all there is to see in this world As for Digging for Gold...that does not necessarily pertain to money. All that Glitters ain't Gold Things that appear beautiful are not all they seem to be in other words. Just because something looks shinny or perfect...dosent mean it is. "Gold" can be found in the depths of poverty...think about it I believe that Art is Inspired by God...However, we Love whom we Love. Prince has been my main inspiration, and God has been right there on the throne of my heart helping me hold the pen. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

So, I'm wondering how to write what I want to write here. As funny as the smart remarks here are, people like Tame have learned to ignore them or look past them.
Basically, Tame - how do you function in the real world? Does everyone around you know about your obsession? Your children? Has anyone in your life ever wondered about it? Or is your personality on here completely different to real life? Because I know if I knew you in real life and you acted how you do on here, I'd be quite concerned for you. You put so much time and energy and effort into someone who DOESN'T KNOW WHO YOU ARE. Just read that over a few times. Prince does not know you, Tame. Not spiritually, not in person, not by ESP or by ET phoning home. You are a stranger to him. And believe it or not, he's a stranger to us, too. Yes, there's honesty in music but no one knows what he's really like on a casual Saturday afternoon. My problem is, how do you invest so much into so little? How do you keep going? I'll admit, I used to be quite obsessed with him, but that was mainly because I'd never listened to his type of music before so it was new and exciting. Looking back, I can't believe I said some of the things I did. They were silly and immature and rather blind. Prince would've laughed and shrugged if he'd seen some of my posts. But here you are at, what, early 40s? Still SO certain of this connection or whatever it is you think you have with him. Why? The man is practically a recluse. You're not really naive enough to think his music = the real thing, are you? You are aware he is an entertainer, right? His job is to entertain not to be honest. Who's to say you're only in love with the IDEA of Prince? What you WANT him to be like? I read a lot of interviews of his last year. The main theme coming from them was, don't worship me. Don't look up to me and don't put me on a pedestal. Why are you going against what Prince wants?

And Imago~I do appreciate your writing because I see your talent, However...U know the rest. I'm quicker 2 forgive than I am 2 jump out at someone..Just call the days of really bad talk down the drain... Thanks honey! And yes, she certainly does not embody the beautiful qualities of "Purple Rain", though if we can convince all those that we know to just ignore her and concentrate on our own journey sans the silly, evil cow, maybe she'll slowly fade away like a case of the drip after a shot of penicillin. positivity edit [Edited 11/16/08 19:15pm] awww. it always inspires me when people manage to reach across that which separates them, to engage in the mutual handshake of "hey, you're not so bad after all" this calls for a group hug

Wow u all sound really judgmental of this woman (Tame).
Are you trying to ‘help’ her or ridicule her?? She is just a person – if she is so blinded by her love of Prince you all just criticizing her is going to make her more defiant of it, I feel. Shut up already, damn.

We don't have to agree on everything--only the tings that matter : But with regards to what pplrain said, she is sick, and evil, and does some very horrible things in her spare time. You should not lower yourself to responding to such a morally corrupt soul. Prince is not a person prone to angry thoughts, but I know in my heart that he struggles to not hate pplrain. This is why I respect him, cause it's so easy to just hate the woman. Don't lower yourself to her filth. Imago said: Thanks honey! Tame said: ~Digging For Gold~
Honest question:
I never really cared for that line. As a writer, I've never used it. My idea of digging for gold is mining the heart. My Marriage Proposal 2 Prince has created quite a stir...It would be nice if we could talk about what Gold means 2 U. I can admit that there may be details about Prince's life that I do not understand in a world where money as a resource has to be governed and saved, counted and spent. I suppose the first thing that money buys is the responsibility 4 it. I am sure that there are people here on this site that believe I have come 2 Prince 2 dig into his pockets..yet nevermind that notion as I refuse to let this thread turn into that perspective of gold. If digging 4 gold was ever my intention, I can tell you that I didn't have to dig any deeper than 1979, 2 see that Gold was sitting right there. I would like to approach this thread with sincerity and say to some members that may come to plant themselves as a fool amongst a room of Prince friends, That your words of ridicule will not be offered a chair in my mind. Everyone here has the opportunity to see that Gold to me is a friend in a man that I could wrap my arms around and plant morning kisses on, as on my golden watch, it is the dawn. Would you accept money, a house, a car, clothes, jewelry etc. if you become one of his women?
