do you think he should have it as full on remastered set say 4 discs long like

disc 1 - 1980-85

disc 2 - 1986-90

disc 3 - 1991-1999

disc 4 - 2000 to present

the reason for the big gaps in the 90's is because Crystal Ball 1 is mainly 90's

Yep, I would prefer a chronological tracking for such releases, it flows and sounds better to the ear than a jarring jumble of eras and production values.

I'd prefer a straight up 'retrospective' type release too, with studio information and detailed liner notes on each track - no need to call it CB2 (since that came and went already, it's confusing enough with the first set being called CB and the original unreleased CB album). Unfortunately, I don't think this will ever be Prince's kind of thing.

it'd be like "anthology series I", including 30 "new" tracks, of which 18
had already been released on Crystal Ball, 6 were b-sides not on The Hits
and 4 were remixes of tracks like Musicology and Life of the Party

According to Wikipedia, this is actully coming out in 2009. Doubt it though, since Wikipedia is user edited. Would be pretty cool though. I also think he should release Slaughterhouse and Chocolate Invasion in retail stores. Also wont happen. I just want some new Prince. If he did put out a new Crystal Ball I want some newer cuts and some stuff from the 90's, maybe some stuff recorded for The Dawn. I want to hear the original verson of Welcome 2 The Dawn.
