Prince's sexy lyrics

If Prince never sang about sex in his songs and he was way more mellow in his lyrics, would you still be as big of a fan?

How much does the sex part of his songs influence your life?

Like say for instance, he sang about love just not the sex part. Im just curious as to how much you all like the sex stuff he sings about, or does that not matter to you?

Would I still be as big a fan? Absolutely. I've always been a fan of the music first and foremost. Everything else is icing on the cake.

I didn't get into him for the sexy lyrics lol

The day I came across him, I saw a musical genius, a modern day Mozart.
I didn't find out until much later (when I came here and started getting his work) that his lyrics were very explicit lol Not exactly what I'm used to.

But I appreicated him so much as an artist/musician that I worked through that. Now I still do love his sexy lyrics, but I don't necessarily need them to enjoy his work cool

When U go back to the "Prince," album, the album's lyrics were sexy...yet not as much as the material from "Dirty Mind," or "Do Me Baby."

If U think of the song, "Automatic," which is a very sexy song...It's still a good song without any vocals, like they all are.

The fact that Prince has songs that bring about so many emotions, It's hard to look back without the sex appeal being there.

In a way what U are saying, is kind of like...would U still be married to a man U love, without that part of it....Even though U would say yes, it wouldn't be a natural expression as human beings that Love people.

Most likely. His guitar skillz would've taken the place of his sexual lyrics

How much does the sex part of his songs influence your life?

A whole lot! Somebody told me they never thought that it was possible for me to get more corrupted than I already am, but since I started listenin to Prince... let's jus say...I prolly think about sex as much as or prolly more than most men do! eek

Like say for instance, he sang about love just not the sex part. Im just curious as to how much you all like the sex stuff he sings about, or does that not matter to you?

MORE SEX! MORE SEX! MORE SEX! woot! lol

OK...on a serious note, this man can sing about food, an aeroplane, air freshener, a sports game, a plum tree eek and still do it so cool you'll love the song anyway! PLUS---his guitar skillzzzzz wooooo Lord! I've never heard anyone make their guitar make the sounds he makes his guitar make! I'm gettin a warm feelin inside jus thinkin bout it cloud9
I swear the words "HATER" is wayyy over-rated...smh

Lets just say that if he started making more albums like Musicology, I would consider not buying them. What a dry and languid album! sad

Sexual stuff always amazed me (and I think it amazes everyone to a certain degree, as long as you let yourself go), but it's not just the lyrics that mean "Sex" to me - it's rather the music that's sexy. If I heard the music of "Do Me, Baby" without his voice I could tell you straight away that this song was about sex. Or "Shhh" for example, it's the flow of the music that means sex!

To answer your question, I don't think I would be THAT much of a fan. I'd probably respect him as an artist for his talents, but I'm overall more interested in people that have this direct and honest sexual edge.

To me it doesn´t matter lyrics about sex, when I heard him for the first time I didn´t speak english but I felt something good with his songs, after I learned english, and I was discovering more about the lyrics, obviously wink

if he sang about just Love, I'd still be a fan cause 'If I Was Your Girlfriend' is my favorite of his.. and that's love ..

my top songs

1. IIWYG
2. Lady Cab Driver
3. Sexy Dancer
4. 17 Days
5. La,La,La,He,He,He

LCD.. the instrumental part of that song, which is after 5:05, is what made me a Prince fan, that's way after Jill's part ... I'd still be a fan yes..
