Letterman

Did anyone watch the show? I was waiting for it to go off....found myself humming along to it, and realized that George Clinton was using If I Was Ur Girlfriend in his performance.

I think David Letterman is very prejudice agains Black entertainers. He talked about Prince pretty bad after the Dolphin perforamance. Don't worry, Geoge Clinton and Prince go way back together. confused

U don't know what the hell u're talking about.
1st off - Letterman breaks on everybody!
What did he do to Clinton that makes u think that he was hatin' in any kind of way? I didn't pick up on anything. Letterman and Clinton go way back. Clinton has been on his show a few times b4.
As to when Prince was on - I don't recall Letterman talking "pretty bad" about him. I do remember Letterman making jokes. Don't confuse the two. That's what comedians do. Prince pretty much handed the jokes to Letterman when (1) Prince's camp gave Letterman the cut out of the symbol (his name during that period) that Letterman was supposed to use to introduce Prince and (2) when Prince got dragged off stage after his performance of "Dolphin". I thought it was all funny.
I think to call Letterman prejudice because of your ignorance is fucked up.
This is coming to you from a person of color.
Peace

Prince acted like he'd died... That's a pretty fat pitch for a joke, if you're a comedian.

When are people gonna realize...that Gentleman's clubs are isolated surroundings...That behavior shouldn't go on tour.

Venue's aren't marked 18&over.

I don't want to go to Las Vegas in my living room...I'd rather watch Ginger and Fred dance.

I like the sexy stuff...I'm tired of the overboard...It makes society look tacky...

I look at Princes, "Cream," as far enough...If it goes over that...I think it's classless.

You guys need to hear him talking about gay people. He still calls them "homosexuals". Even Dr Phil picked him up on it. "We don't really call gay people that any more".

Honestly, I haven't watched David Letterman's show since it first began. Nothing against him, but I don't find his show at *all* entertaining.

His public persona is that of someone who kinda dislikes *everybody*, but he may indeed be anti-gay.

Other than calling gay people "homosexuals" (like "Orientals" this term has fallen out of favor?), what has he said or done that gave you the anti-gay vibe?

It tends to be... what women wear on stage and how they behave. It's not that a girl in a bikini bothers me...It's that it doesn't do anything at all except appear flaunty. The other thing is...If a woman is going to wear something really sexy...She shouldn't bend over 4 the crowd..In my opinion, If Prince thinks that looks good...It only looks good 2 him...When Mayte did that, and the pictures reveal this, and Prince encourages it...I felt like I was at "Tiffany's." I didn't see This performance on Letterman...I just noticed the girl on stage.

If U want 2 teach the world how 2 have general respect 4 everyone...U have 2 set a good example.
Not everybody that goes to a concert is high on sexual thrills. What people do in a bedroom is not 4 the stage.
If "Victoria Secret," Models got to the end of the runway and bent over in your face...Sexy would disappear...Even if a guitar player was there on the floor catching the 90 degree angle. There are hidden rulez for thingz. cool

Yeah, the term is ancient now.

He hates when Richard Simmons comes on the show, he usually humiliates the guy in some way. Yes, Simmons is over the top but there's no reason to embarrass someone.

There've always been rumours of Jake Gyllenhaal being gay and when he came on the show around the time of Brokeback Mountain, Dave was so cold and uninterested towards him, you just had to wonder...

When Larry Craig got caught doing what he did, it's not like the guy didn't deserve to be ridiculed but the nastiness Dave did it with....

Again, he was talking to Dr Phil about random stuff and somehow they got onto the subject of gay people. Dave's going "now these homosexuals..." and Phil was like "gay people dave, they prefer to be called gay people".

There've been other instances but I can't recall them now.
