What Prince songs say something about your personal character traits or relationships you have had with your past relationships...Whether they be whole songs or pieces of them.

My first husband and I were just friends that married and had 3 children together...He slept on the couch 4...7 years. Truly...We used to joke..the times we had sex we had kids...There's not even a Prince song for this..even "Let's pretend were married," has more passion. Thank God He loves his children. And my boys have a step sister now, born on Valentines day..

My second husband turned out to be King Jerk of the World..I could swear to God...all of the women on the planet have to be thankful I had em' locked up 4 ya...so they didn't have to run into his likeness.
I think of the song "Open Book," when it comes to him...because we did talk alot...He even read my diary on a regular basis for the first 5 years out of the 10 we were together..anyway, when Prince says..."You say my heart's just like an open book, there are lines you've never seen." That describes the way I lived for so long...It was like loving a stranger that really couldn't see me. I often thought he was echo's from the past stepping in to engage conversation with me..It was like he wasn't there.

What about Your relationships or songs that say most about your heart's journey so far?

Well, "Nothing Compares 2 U" (sineads version) always reminds me of my dad, rip. But mostly it's songs like "Let's Go Crazy" and "1999" that have sentiments I try to carry with me everyday; Life is short so have fun!

I'd have to say The Most Beautiful Girl in the World.

The first time i read those lyrics i was just blown away.

Such a beautiful song, it just feels like the soundtrack of my life.

I've always wanted someone to write this song for me, how amazing would that be?

Some people are still telling me how to run my life, so a lot of the lyrics hit home.

Gold speaks to me the loudest.
But its more of a song that picks me back up when I'm done. Something in it sounds like it fits to whatever my current situation is (when I'm really down about something), and it helps heal me inside & out.

I'll post whatever others come to mind, but those are the major ones.

She Loves Me 4 Me - this was our first dance at our Wedding earlier this year, followed by Forever in My Life.

my wife and i marries to the song "adore" and the lines "until the end of time i'll be there for you" mean as much to me today(12 years later!) as they did on that first day of marriage.

last week i lost my job -redundant-sucks big time- but i keep having the phrase "we march" pop into my mind.am i some kinda freak? well i dont know ,but, i do know that alot of princes music gives me the inspiration to just keep going;....
