I just saw Prince perform this on Leno and I was saying to myself, "WTF?" This song is the real shit, no fucking around there.

Seems like Prince is popping out good works but they get no attention. But I'm not blaming it on the listeners. Its like Prince isn't trying to get attention.

Interesting. It could be a lot of folks dislike it because these are the people who like his last album. I.E., they have bad taste. But speaking as a longtime Prince fan of his "good" albums, "turn me loose" is a nice song for what it is.

I found it to be so-so. Barely remembered. Not something you'd hear on the radio and rush to the store to by, unless of course you're a Prince fan.

I do like the studio version quite a lot in comparison to his live performance though. The guitar solos are slick and fun.

I didn't like the lyrics .

well actually, i was referring to the Leno live version. The best part about the song is the guitar riffs leading into the bridge, which I just noticed he cut from the recorded version. That makes it a lessor version of the song. But still pretty good.
